Tab Newcomb at ProMX, Rd 1 - Wonthaggi

Kawasaki Team Green rider, Tab Newcomb, jumped onto the KX250 for round 1 of the ProMX, in the WMX category. Tab fronted the start gate against some of the best in the world. Read below about the round in Tab's own words:

We travelled to Wonthaggi for the first round of the Aus ProMX and what a weekend it was for women's motocross.
I rode in the WMX class, qualifying p25 then getting 22, 23 moto scores. As the weather couldn't have been better, with plenty of moisture in the track and
good riding temperatures, I was super keen to get the races underway.
It was such a great experience sharing our women’s race with international riders from USA, NZ and Africa who were competing in the FIM Oceania women’s cup – I was stoked to be the 12th & 13th Aussie girl over the line, respectively, in my races.

The track became absolutely brutal by Sunday afternoon, but I had confidence in our preparation on and off the bike to race this type of track.
We took away heaps of positives and will be working to eliminate bad habits to bring out more in my riding.
It was really cool watching the MX1 riders showing a phenomenal pace in the conditions and hope to keep gaining experiences like this.
We had a good time and are looking forward to round 2 at Gillman.

Upcoming Races:

Pro MX Round 2 on 27th April, Gillman SA.

NSW State Titles Rd 2 on 3/4 May, Dubbo NSW.
