HOOFDDORP, November 21, 2012 - The new Z Cup will be the successor to the well-known Kawasaki Ninja Cup, which was born at the Albacete Race Track which in April 2007.
The Ninja Cup has been a huge success, with over 170 competitors over the years. Riders not only from Spain compete but also from other European countries and even the United States. Some riders who stepped up to the national championship or even world level after having gained experience in the Ninja Cup.
The final Ninja Cup race was ridden at the famous Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia last weekend. It was a beautiful race to mark the end of the 6 year series. Now we look ahead to the future with the new Z Cup.
We now think that it's time to renew and to start a new exciting opportunity for a new generation of riders, keeping the same philosophy that made us start the Ninja Cup six years ago: massive thrills, exciting races, but still affordable for a big group of racing enthusiasts.
For 2013, this means that we will continue our dedicated Kawasaki Paddock, offering the same services and facilities we have offered so far. We trust this new series will be a big success, just like the Ninja Cup has been, for both our fans and our racers!
(The 2013 Kawasaki Z800 will be released in Australia very soon).
