Rounds one and two of the NSW Off Road Championship were held in the sandy and rocky single trail circuits of Nowra Motoplex.

Reigning Australian Off Road Champion, Josh Brierley, was eager to better his 2nd place finish in the 2015 NSW Off Road Championship. His determination and skill was rewarded with 1st place in the J3 class over the weekend, after taking out both rounds.

“My Kawasaki KX250F ran like a dream all weekend and I managed to stay on top!” commented Josh.

Twin brother and 2015 J2 Australian Off Road Champion, Mitch Brierley, advanced from his KX85-II to race aboard a KX250F this year. Mitch finished both rounds just shy of the podium in 4th place, granting him 5th overall for each round.

“I’m loving the power of the bigger bike. My goal over the weekend was to be consistent and minimise the mistakes which I did so I’m happy!” Mitch said.

Both Josh and Mitch Brierley will keep their wheels rolling in preparation for the first round of the Australian Off Road Championship on March 19th in Kilkivan QLD.

Grace Rowe joined the Brierley brothers to ride away from the first NSW Off Road Championship round in triumph aboard her Kawasaki KX250F. Despite a recent shoulder injury and the fact that she hadn’t raced in an enduro event for two years, Grace set the pace with 2nd place in the first round and 3rd in the second.

“I kept improving on my time dramatically and was really happy with the way I rode and I adjusted to the track after every lap I rode. I am genuinely excited for the next round and what I have to offer. I’m excited to get amongst it again and get to where I want to be, at the top,” Grace commented.

Next up for Grace is round one of the NSW State Motocross Titles held in Canberra over the Easter weekend.

Youngest KX Junior Squad member, Brad West, kicked off his 2016 season with 2nd place overall in the 85cc, 9–12yr class at round one of the Central Queensland Motocross Championship. Two race wins at the round served as a massive boost of confidence leading into the remainder of the year. Brad is brimming with excitement as he looks forward to the 1st round of Sunshine Shell Series in Hervey Bay this weekend.
