The weekend have seen the Ayr Motorcycle Club host its 60th Anniversary race meeting. Record numbers of riders turned up for this milestone event and some of the most spectacular racing in Australia.
Mackay Kawasaki and Townsville Kawasaki were there with the team and excelled in all classes entered. Luke Burgess performed in the Pro 250 Class winning all four races on his 2020 KX250. His team mate Tyron Lee Burgess piloted his KX250 to take second step on the podium giving Kawasaki Team a 1-2 result .
Junior team Riders Lenny Snell gave his best performance to take second spot on the podium in the Junior Lites class with some spectacular riding on his KX250 . His younger brother, Henry Snell rode his KX85 to claim second spot on the podium in the senior 85 class.
Former A grade senior Team mate Jemery Linton came out of Retirement and rode Luke's 2020 KX450. Jeremy was representing Kawasaki in the "Vets" class.
Luke, who is now the Race Team Manager, commented that he was over the moon with the teams efforts and said it proved how good the KX line up is. He went on to say that Kawasaki continually enhances these machines which makes the racers job easy.
