After an absence of many years, the Australian Jetsports Tour has being resurrected for 2015 (after a trial run in 2014). The 2015 Australian Jetcross Championships will consist of a 7 round national tour across 3 states that will crown Australia’s greatest watercraft racers.
Managed by owner and director of Brisbane Kawasaki (Jamie Eade), Kawasaki Racing Team Australia established themselves as a forced to be reckoned with in the opening rounds of this years Australian Jetcross Championship.
Round 1 saw Kawasaki rider Christian D’Agostin come in 3rd for the Stock Runabout race on his Kawasaki 310R. Christian finished 2nd in the Pro Open Runabout on his Kawasaki Ultra 310 and 1st in the Open Enduro race on the same machine.
Dane Alberti, excelled in the first round placing 1st in the Show Room Stock Enduro and 2nd in the Showroom Stock Runabout.
Round 2 whitnessed Christian D’Agostin excelling yet again to place 1st in the Open Enduro and 3rd in both the Pro Open Runabout and Stock Runabout races. The Showroom Stock Runabout and Showroom Stock Enduro also featured Kawasaki podium placing with Dane Alberti and Cameron Martin both coming in 1st respectively.
Team Manager Jamie Eade says, ‘It’s been a massive round and thanks to all the team for an outstanding effort. The team’s biggest issue is getting all 13 trophies and 4 giant Cheques home on the plane”!
Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2015 Australian Jetcross Championships were scheduled to proceed on 22nd Feb in Redcliffe QLD, but had to be cancelled due to Cyclone Marcia. Rounds 5 & 6 will be held in Sydney on March 28th-29th.
