Kawasaki Castrol Off-Road Racing Team made its way to Kyogle NSW 20-21 July 2019 for the Australian Off-Road Championship!
Rider Lachlan Allan, Matt Murry and Scott Keegan all performed very well over the weekend with some strong results. Lachlan fined 5th both days on the KX250 and Matt finished 5th both days on his KX450! Unfortunately Scott crashed on the KX450 and broke his hadn and was out of day one, not being able to continue on.
Team Manager Peter Allan: "Lachlan and Matt had a terrific weekend , constantly pushing themselves & each other for the best outright positions , which gave them a great result in their classes . It was a challenging event with more than twenty senior riders pulling out with various issues .The KX Models never missed a beat , handled fantastic through the varying tracks from steep extreme tests to faster rocky sections . This event attracted a huge number of entries as it was a combined event with AORC ,NSW State & QLD State Series .We are very proud of the boys results as this puts them comfortably in 5th place half way through the championship and also puts them as the first riders in the respective classes who aren't full time professional factory riders ."
The team will be back in action 10-11 August at Broken Hill for a Desert Race and we wish them the best of luck!
