Mornington Kawasaki's John Phelan isn't just a successful Dealership Principal, he's also a very talented motorcycle racer as proven during the Australian Pro Stock 1000 races at the recent World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island.
John Phelan took a race win on board his all new 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R (the first of what will hopefully be many race wins for the model in Australia in 2011). With another strong finish in the second race, Phelan took away 2nd for the round in his class.
A happy John Phelan says, "This is a great result for me, the new Ninja ZX-10R and Mornington Kawasaki. To get the first race win in Australia on this new model is extremely satisfying. Out of the box, the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R with traction control made the changing conditions at Phillip Island a breeze. When other riders were struggling with deteriorating wet tyres, the traction control mode kept me on-line. Handling, braking and the horsepower of the new Ninja ZX-10R is a winner. I'm looking forward to many more positive results on this great bike!"
John Phelan will compete in the Pro Stock class of the 2011 Australian Superbike Championship throughout Australia in 2011.
