Success is familiar to the Burgess family. Jack's father, Dale Burgess, owns and runs an Ichiban award winning dealership, Mackay Kawasaki, and Jack's older brother is none other than Kawasaki racer Luke Burgess who has won Australian Championships in road race, dirt track and Supermotard..all on Kawasaki Machinery.
Lately Jack "The Bear" Burgess is proving that he has also been tarred with the same winning brush by going out and smashing the competition at the 1st round of the QLD Supermoto Championship at the Whitsunday Motorsport Complex. Jack won an amazing 9 from 9 races on board his KX250F to win the round.
And just last month, Jack showed his talents on the National stage when he finished on the podium at the Australian Supermoto Championship, also at the Whitsunday Motorsport Complex. Jack came 2nd onboard his KX250F beaten only by racing legend Troy Bayliss.
Jack say's, "I'm really happy with my results. To come 2nd to Troy Bayliss was a great achievemnent. The KX250F was a pleasure to race and performed perfectly. I can't wait to go out there and give it my all to try and win a state title."
Jack's next outing will be the 2nd and final round of the 2014 QLD Supermoto Championship at the Mako Complex in Mareeba, Northern QLD in September. The Bear takes a healthy points lead into the final round and will race for his first State Title and even more Burgess family success.
