Josh Brierley won the J2A class in both rounds and Grace Rowe won both rounds - Junior Girls class. Mitch Brierley was on the podium for both rounds in the J2A class taking 2nd and 3rd in each round respectively on his KX85.
Saturday's round 5 consisted on a 9 minute sprint loop which each rider completing 7 sprints. Josh Brierley was the strongest and most consistent rider in the J2A class taking the win with his brother Mitch just behind in 2nd place.
In the Junior Girls class, Grace Rowe crashed in her first outing putting her 2 1/2 minutes off the pace. Grace was able to not only make up the time throughout the rest of the day but also post a 2 minute buffer over her nearest competitor to take the round win.
Sunday's 1.5 hour XCountry took place on a rough and hilly 8km loop. After the drop of the flag, Mitch rounded the first corner in 2nd place on board his KX85 with Josh in 5th. After several lead changes Josh managed to cross the finish line in 1st place to take the double round win with Mitch holding on to 3rd place.
Grace got off to a 5th place start in the Junior Girls class, but then pinned her KX85 down the first straight to get into 2nd place. From there she fought her way into the lead but a crash put her back to 3rd place. She was able to fight back though to regain the lead on the final lap and take the double round win.
Grace Rowe now prepares for the 2nd round of the NSW MX Titles at Port Macquarie on 7th June after winning the Junior Girls class at round 1.
Josh Brierley and Mitch Brierley will spend the next few weeks getting ready for the Australian Off Road Championships at Coonawarra, SA and then the Hattah Dessert Race in July.
