On the back of injury that seriously hampered his chances of a strong result at the QLD Shell MX series, 16 year old Blake Colleton is now doing all he can to win the NSW 250cc 15yrs State MX Title on his KX250F.
Blake secured 2nd place in the opening moto at Dubbo and then hole-shot and won the following two races to take the overall round win and the series lead.
Blake was happy with his result, saying, “I’m stoked to be in front in the series now. I finished the first round in 2nd place and knew I had to have a good round at Dubbo to have a shot at winning this title. Everything went to plan, my KX250F was as strong as always and I can’t thank my sponsors and family enough. Especially my dad for driving overnight from Kilcoy to Dubbo so I could compete.”
Blake will look to win the series at the 3rd and final round at Bathurst in July. Before then, he will line up to do battle at the QLD State MX Titles on June 28th with an eye for winning 2 State MX Titles in 2013.
