In addition to this stellar achievement, the fifteen year old Queenslander was nominated for the International Junior Rider of the year award.

The next day saw Max compete in the 2016 North Brisbane Cup. Max took out the final race aboard his Kawasaki KX250F, finished up second with his KX125 in the 150cc class and unfortunately crashed during the Junior Challenge event.

“I was looking forward to the Junior Challenge and was running a solid second. I began gaining ground on the leader when I got out of shape and hit the wall, going down hard and injuring my arm. Lucky it was the last race of 2016 for us and I've got 6 weeks to get well for the Troy Bayliss Classic,” Max commented.

Max now begins his road to recovery and training for the Troy Bayliss Classic which is due to take place at the Taree Motorcycle Club on 21st January.
