The 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a 200HP powerhouse, designed for and raced on race tracks all over the world. Those who ride them do so for the rush or exhileration that only a 1000cc supersport machine can bring. In short, they're not for the faint hearted. Cue Bill Humble.
Kawasaki employees were on hand with a test fleet of the latest and greatest Kawasaki motorcycles at the Ulysses AGM in Newcastle, NSW last week. Bill Humble from Brisbane, QLD made the trip down specially so he could test ride Kawasaki's new W800. After test riding the W800 and being thoroughly impressed, Bill spotted the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R that was being used as a lead or tail vehicle by Kawasaki employees.
"I don't suppose I could take the new Ninja out for a ride could I?" was all it required from Bill for us to give him the keys for the next hourly test ride. That and a re-check of his drivers license revealing his age of no less that 80 years of age!
Further discussions with Bill forged a great relationship between the Kawasaki fan and Kawasaki staff. Born in Sydney, raised in Melbourne and now in Brisbane, Bill is a true Kawasaki fan having owned over the years, an ER-5, ZR-7, ZZR650, VN800, ER-6F, GPX250 and a ZZR250. Bill has also been a member of the Australian Armed Forces and has served in two overseas conflicts.
When it came time for his test ride, Bill rode the new Ninja ZX-10R like a professional with his many years of motorcycle riding experience showing.
Upon his return, all Bill had to say was, "It was a wonderful experience. About as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. Thank you very much to Kawasaki for the experience".
Kawasaki thanks Bill for his loyalty and wishes him many more years of happy riding.
