The Empire Kawasaki Team have embarked on the chase to the Championship and the final two Rounds of the ProMX Championship, with the Penultimate Round being held Sunday 11th August at MX Farm, Gympie, QLD. Reid Taylor (MX2) comes into MX Farm with renewed focus, excitement and speed following a breakthrough ride at Toowoomba just one Round ago, where he would finish 2nd overall, achieving his first career overall podium in the process.
With Taylor having spent time with his Teammate Luke Clout in the QLD region, Taylor is comfortable at MX Farm and looking forward to the fast and flowing natural terrain circuit.
“Toowoomba felt great and it took us several Rounds longer than the Team and I anticipated, but we finally got on the Overall podium and that set our standard for the rest of the season”, said Taylor.
“I anticipate being on the podium at the final 2 Rounds to finish the season strong heading into Supercross”, concluded Taylor.
Luke Clout (MX1) continues with his trademark determination throughout the 24’ ProMX Championship, where flashes of race winning speed and track position have been met with crashes and other issues, leading to Clout being “all in” at these final 2 Rounds.
With the now QLD local very familiar with MX Farm, Clout views Round 7 as the chance to set his season back on track.
“I’ve called the Sunny Coast home for a few years now and with my Coach Ford Dale, we spend a lot of time training at MX Farm”, commented Clout.
“I feel I can win on any track we go racing, but with the way the season has been, I’ve found a lot of speed and extra comfort on the bike lately, so with MX Farm being local it is going to help me breakthrough to the podium this weekend”, concluded Clout.
Round 7 of the 2024 ProMX Championship takes place at MX Farm, QLD on Sunday 11th August, with the event being broadcast across free-to-air coverage on SBS and the streaming platform SBS On Demand along with the ProMX TV live stream coverage.
