The Empire Motorsports off-road racing team recently took part in the iconic Hattah Desert Race.
Below is a release from the team regarding the weekend:
In the 450 class, Beau Raltson made some good passes in the opening lap after starting a little further down the field which was going to set up for a good race but after the first fuel stop, a freak rear brake malfunction made the day difficult for Beau to push.
The Empire Motorsports team tried all they could to fix it but by the time they got it working, the time was lost.
To Beau's credit, he pushed on and never gave up then made his way back towards the top 20 by the end of the race.
In the 250 class, Will Price started the day in P1 and set a good pace early on but got passed around lap five.
Unfortunately, only eight weeks after fracturing his shoulder, limited bike time became a factor in the later stages of the race.
Despite this, Will managed to hang onto a class podium finish and top 40 outright results.
Will raced for a total of 4 hours and 40mins which is a true credit to Will.
