Tara Morrison might not be a household name in Australia just yet, but the young racer is more than proving her skills both locally and internationally. 

The 19-year-old made her racing debut in the Australian Superbike Championship in 2022, and continues to compete on a Kawasaki Ninja 400 in 2023. 

Described by Morrison as her “role model, advocate, and coach”, Davo Johnson has helped progress the young rider’s career. 

Tara also credits Johnson with helping her to make her international racing debut in Europe. 

Earlier this year, Morrison traveled to the Netherlands to compete in an IDM round at the "Cathedral of Speed", AKA - the Assen TT Circuit.

Speaking on the opportunity, Tara sounded stoked, to say the least.

“The Kawasaki team and championship all exceeded my expectations. I was amongst some of the best SSP300 riders in the world and was involved in some hectic racing,” she said.

“Since coming home to Australia, my lap times have improved, and my racing technique and confidence have grown massively. Racing at Assen in a Europe setting has been the highlight of my career so far, and I am so excited for what is to come.”

Morrison is currently racing her Ninja 400 in the SSP300 class of the Australian Superbike Championship.

She is one of two female riders in the class, and is “excited to represent Kawasaki in the ASBK.”
