Built Beyond Belief

The Ninja H2 motorcycle bring the mind-bending power of Kawasaki’s supercharged hypersport racer to the street. Boasting a powerful 998cc inline four-cylinder engine, state-of-the-art electronics, and the latest Brembo brakes, the Ninja H2 amounts to pure performance on the road.





In-house-designed Supercharger

The supercharger used in the Ninja H2 was designed by Kawasaki motorcycle engine designers with assistance from other companies within the KHI Group, namely the Gas Turbine & Machinery Company, Aerospace Company, and Corporate Technology Division. Designing the supercharger in-house allowed it to be developed to perfectly match the engine characteristics of the Ninja H2. The highly efficient, motorcycle-specific supercharger was the key to achieving the maximum power and the intense acceleration that engineers wanted to offer.



The engine was painstakingly crafted to accommodate  the extreme air pressure created by a supercharger,  Cast (rather than forged) through a unique process, the pistons of the Ninja H2 are lightweight - yet strong - and able to withstand extremely high temperatures. The precision-honed combustion chamber is complemented by a flat piston crown inspired by technology from KHI's Gas Turbine & Machinery Company that helps prevent detonation.

TFT Instrumentation

A Bluetooth chip built into the instrument panel enables riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly.  Using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP,” a number of instrument functions can be accessed;fuel gauge, odometer, maintenance schedule, etc can be viewed via the smartphone. - Riding Log: route and rpm can be can be viewed via the smartphone. - Telephone notices: when a call, text or mail is received by the smartphone, this is indicated on the instrument display. - General Settings: general instrument display settings (such as preferred units, date, date format, etc) can be adjusted via the smartphone.


The Ninja H2 compact IMU operates in 6 DOF (degrees of freedom): 5 measured 1 calculated. Combined with Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modelling program, input from the IMU enables even more precise chassis orientation awareness, the key to bringing Kawasaki’s electronics to the next level. The use of Bosch’s compact IMU allows an additional layer of precision to be added to the already high-level S-KTRC, KLCM and KIBS. A cornering managment function uses KIBS and S-KTRIC to assist riders in tracing their intended line through the corner (ABS models only).

Front Suspension

KYB AOS-II high quality racing suspension is fitted to the Ninja H2. Based on the Air-Oil Separate cartridge fork developed for motocross racing, this design was the industry’s first use of this high-performance racing suspension on an on-road motorcycle. DLC coated inner tubes are designed for low friction, the ø43 mm front fork offers superb action: smooth initial action is followed by strong damping at the end of the stroke.

Öhlins TTX36 Rear Suspension

The addition of Öhlins’ highly acclaimed TTX shock offers numerous rider benefits:
Increased rear stability,enhanced cornering performance, increased rider confidence, superb feedback, stability at speed, supple suspension absorbs bumps.

The Transmission

The smooth, quick shifting via a a dog-ring type transmission as found in MotoGP or Formula 1, was developed with feedback from the Kawasaki Racing Team. This type of transmission offers a light shift effort. Shift touch is improved, and a shorter shift time is possible—which facilitates quick acceleration.

Oil Jets

In the interest of keeping the engine compact and simple, a single lubrication system provides cooling oil for the engine components, supercharger and transmission.


A pair of massive ø330 mm Brembo semi-floating discs with a thickness of t5.5 mm deliver superb braking force. Combined with Brembo’s Stylema monobloc calipers which are the company’s latest high-spec street-use calipers. A large 250 mm diameter disc generates strong braking force at the rear.

Highly Durable Paint

Kawasaki’s new Highly Durable paint features a special coat that allows scratches to repair themselves, enabling the paint to maintain its high-quality finish†.  * Soft and hard segments in the coat work together like a chemical spring, creating a trampoline effect that absorbs impacts.   † Notes: 1. In some cases, it takes about one week for recovery. 2. The paint will not recover in the case of scratches caused by a coin or key, or zip fasteners


KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function)

KCMF monitors engine and chassis parameters throughout the corner—from entry, through the apex, to corner exit—modulating brake force and engine power to facilitate smooth transition from acceleration to braking and back again, and to assist riders in tracing their intended line through the corner. On the Ninja H2, KCMF oversees the following systems:
- KTRC (including traction, wheelie and sliding control)
- KIBS (including pitching and corner braking control)
- Kawasaki Engine Brake Control

All-LED Lighting

A change to a LED-type license plate lamp means that all lighting equipment (headlamp, position lamps, taillight, turn signals and license plate lamp) on the Ninja H2 is now LED.


Assist & Slipper Clutch: Lighter Lever Operation

The Brembo components bring superb linearity and smooth actuation to the hydraulic clutch. Assist and slipper clutch offers light clutch pull and minimizes wheel chatter caused by aggressive downshifting.

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter)

With the Ninja H2 engine’s strong power and the superb dog-ring transmission, a contactless-type quick shifter enables quick up-shifts and down-shifts for seamless acceleration.

Aerodynamically-designed Bodywork

It is no accident that when viewed from the side, the Ninja H2 does not seem to have the aggressive forward-canted stance of most modern supersport models.

Man-Machine Interface

The man-machine interface enables riders to enjoy the bike’s performance with a supersport comfort. The riding position, ergonomics and cockpit layout are designed to put the rider in the best position to control this amazing machine. The impression from the rider’s seat is quality, high-tech control with an impeccable fit and finish.

High Precision Production

Unlike a standard mass-production model, the high-precision production of the Ninja H2 requires greater hands-on participation by skilled Kawasaki craftsmen. Each step, from metalworking, treatment, welding, painting to assembly, fine-tuning and inspection is carefully attended to in order to create a product of superior quality. Within Kawasaki’s Akashi Factory, production takes place in an area dedicated exclusively to the Ninja H2.

The Kawasaki River Mark

Special permission was obtained to use the River Mark on the Ninja H2 Carbon. Usually, its use on a product is reserved for models of historical significance.

  • The 2021 Ninja H2 is a road registerable mass production model available in limited numbers for the Australian Market.
