The Spanish rider Ana Carrasco finished in eighth place today, in Sunday’s race at Assen.
Ana had a good race, the Kawasaki rider set off from the tenth position on the grid and after a great comeback astride her Ninja 400, and with just three curves to go, she was in second place ready to attack the leader in the final stretch.
But the Cehegín rider was involved in some knocks and lost a valuable second in the last split which ended up with her in eighth place, entering at less than one second behind the winner, the also Spanish Kawasaki rider, Manuel Gonzalez
The next race takes place at Imola, Italy, on Sunday the 12th of May 2019.
Ana Carrasco (Kawasaki Provec WorldSSP 300 Rider): “I’m happy with the race, within the group I felt very strong, I had the situation fully under control, or at least I thought so, but in the last part of the final lap, I had some bad luck, I set out to attack the leader and I was hit, I went off the track and had to release the throttle and that’s when all my options for the podium went to hell, a shame, the weekend went well, I should have left here with more points, at Imola we’ll counterattack, the team and Kawasaki did their job well, we have my Ninja 400 ready to win races”
