Following from an very strong final round in MX Nationals, Kawasaki supported rider Meghan Rutledge contended the 2019 Women's NSW State Championship on the weekend in Goulburn NSW.
Not only did Meghan win the MX Women's Nationals Championship back-to-back, but she has also won the 2019 Women's State Championship being crowned Queen of MX back-to-back as well! Kawasaki talked to Meghan after the weekend's racing:
"What a crazy weekend. After debating on Wednesday if it was even worth racing due to my thumb/wrist injury. I am so happy to take out the Women’s NSW state championships road and also claim back to back Queen of MX championships. Race two and three i was a little bit more relaxed i knew the pain i was about to encounter when the gates dropped and i pushed through it the best i could to take both wins. Then come the big one the Queen of MX feature race.. Nerves were high on the start line but i managed to pull my first hole shot of the weekend and lead the feature race to claim back to back Queen of MX Championships."
Meghan went onto to say "Racing was tough with my injury but I am over the moon to have been able to push through. Unfortunately I am going to have to withdraw my entry for Hattah as my injury is going to need time to rest and recover. I couldn't be happier."
Kawasaki wishes to extend our congratulations to Meghan and her team for a fantastic result and wish her a speedy recovery! Be sure to follow Meghan on Facebook @madmeg222 and Instagram @meg66rutledge.
