Dobson finished in 3rd place while Meghan Rutledge took 12th place in moto 2 for 16th overall. Zero Seven Motorsports rider Dylan Peterson, riding for the injured Kade Mosig took a 5th place moto finish in the MX2 class on his way to 8th overall while his MX1 team mate Cody Mackie finished in 13th.

Jesse Dobson moved back into 2nd place overall in the MXD class in the 2013 MX Nationals with a podium finish at Broadford. Dobson finished in 3rd for the round with 3-5 moto results. He may have even been able to finish on a higher step on the podium if crashes in each moto didn’t hold him back. Dobson is now 19 points shy of the lead with 6 rounds of racing remaining.

Jesse Dobson was happy to be back on the podium. He say’s, “It was good to get back up on the podium after last rounds result. I had a bit of a down weekend last round but I got it back up on the box and I’ve reclaimed some points which is good. It was good to get some good starts this weekend, I’ve been working hard on them and it looks like it’s paying off. I put my KX250F inside the top ten on the first turn every time and that made life a lot easier.”

Meghan Rutledge was so close to achieving her goal of a top ten finish in the male dominated MXD class with a 12th place finish in moto 2. Rutledge recovered from a big crash in moto 1 to take 24-12 results for 16th overall for the round. She sits in 15th place in the championship.

Meghan Rutledge was very pleased with her race result saying, “I had to do something after my first race. It was a shocker. I got a bad start and it was really hard to pass. I ended up crashing with my feet touching my head and my bike lying on top of me but I got a good start in the second race and I’m really proud of myself for how I rode in that moto”.
