Blake Colleton won all his races on board his KX85 to win the U16yrs 85cc class. Reigning Australian Women’s Champion Meghan Rutledge won all three races on her KX250F to take top honours in the Women’s class and Monster Energy Kawasaki Lites rider Kade Mosig won the A&B Lites class. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jay Marmont took 2nd overall in the A&B Opens class.
Blake Colleton was in a league of his own at Moree in the U16yrs 85cc class. Not only did he win all three races on board his KX85, he also posted the fasted lap time in all three races as well. Blake finished just off the podium in the 100-150cc class taking 4th overall and managed 6th outright in the 250cc class. Blake is also currently 2nd place overall in the Sunshine State series 85cc class in QLD.
Blake say's, "I had an awesome weekend. The track was wicked. I had two massive crashes in the 250 classbut everything went to plan in the 85 class. My KX85 was awesome. I was stoked to take the overall."
Meghan Rutledge showed why she holds the title of Australia’s fastest female MX rider with another dominating display at Moree. Meghan secured the hole-shot in all three of her Women’s class races and led every lap of every race to take the overall win for the weekend. Meghan is currently preparing to race the 2nd round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals MXD class at Coonabarabran this weekend plus she will also be heading over to the USA to race selected rounds of the 2012 AMA Women’s MX Championship with support from Kawasaki USA
Meghan say's, "I was most happy with my performance in the boys races. I took 11th in the 1st boys race then backed that up straight away with a win the womens opener. I raced back to back all weekend so I know my fitness is where it should be. I'm definately looking forward to racing the Nationals this weekend."
Monster Energy Kawasaki riders Jay Marmont and Kade Mosig posted outstanding results at the State Titles in Moree in preparation for their MX Nationals campaign this weekend. Kade Mosig took the overall win in the A&B Lites class with 1-3-2 results while Jay Marmont showed that the knee injury that caused him grief at the MX Nationals opener at Conondale is now a lot better, taking 2nd overall in the A&B Opens class with 2-3-3 results.
Jay Marmont and Kade Mosig will be joined by teammate Billy Mackenzie at the 2nd round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Coonabarabran this weekend where the team will look to add considerably to their Championship points haul with good race and round results.
