A mid-pack start for Jay Marmont in the opening moto at Hervey Bay saw him riding hard to work his way up to 4th. But the difficult and bumpy sand track took its toll on the current Australian Supercross champion and he eventually finished in 8th place. It was much of the same in the second race and Marmont finished in 9th. Marmont’s 8-9 results left him in 9th overall for the round.

An optimistic Jay Marmont say’s, “It was a positive weekend for me as I rebuild. It was hard to push forward on that track after mediocre starts so I’m not happy with my positions but I’m riding well and I wasn’t overtaken in that second moto. I’m looking forward to the next few rounds. The hard-pack Swan Hill track will suit me then we have a home race in Toowoomba before wrapping up in Coolum. Then bring on the Supercross!”

Adam Monea HB

Adam Monea was unfortunate to miss out on Superpole, qualifying in 6th place. He came out firing in moto 1 and quickly settled into 5th place however he collided with another rider.
