Changes to the 41mm telescopic fork include stiffer springs, increased oil height and revised damping settings. These changes in addition to changes to the Uni-Trak and single-shock rear suspension (stiffer spring and stronger rebound damping) better accommodate on-road riding and heavier loads and also contribute to increased ride comfort and improved handling.
The redesigned seat is slimmer at the front (between the rider’s thighs) and about 30mm wider at the rear (at the rider’s derrière), delivering increased ride comfort on longer rides and better accommodating a wider range of riders. The seat's new styling also contributes to the bikes appearance and increased height in the rear of the seat means it lines up nicely with the rear rack, which may facilitate carrying larger items.
Kawasaki is confident that the revisions to the model along with its affordable price will help the KLR650 remain Australia's favourite Adventure Touring motorcycle.
The 2014 KLR650 New Edition is available now at Kawasaki dealerships in either Candy Lime Green with Ebony or Metallic Raw Graystone with Ebony.
